Time to say goodbye to the incredible North Devon coastline as we approach the Cornwall Border.
Starting in Hartland Quay on a perfectly calm and overcast autumnal morning, we walk the short but mesmerising 5 to 6 miles to the famous Cornwall sign. We pass endless views of the rugged and exposed coastline from the cliff tops above, including the therapeutic Speke's Mill Mouth Waterfall.
Having started the South West Coast Path over 100 miles away in Minehead back in April, I used this video as a chance to take a look back on the journey so far.
I also had the small task of completing the 19-mile gap from Braunton to Appledore, having skipped the long, tiresome stretch of the Tarka Trail months before. Obviously that didn't sit well with me...
What a journey it's been, though.
If I'm honest, I got emotional making this one. It's not been the easiest of years for me, but this adventure has given me a purpose, and I've loved every single mile, even if I didn't realise it at the time.
Cornwall holds a special place in my heart having spent my childhood years travelling there with my family on summer holidays. It's where I have some of the best memories of my beloved grandparents, who have both recently passed away after their own cruel battles with dementia.
This journey has been for them.
I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have.
If you're new here, please go check out the journey from the start and laugh at my terrible video editing skills.
