PANEER MATAR CURRY FULL RECIPE
Ingredients:
Paneer cubes – 200 grams
Green peas (Matar) – 1 cup
Onion – 2 (sliced)
Tomato – 2 (chopped)
Green chillies – 2
Ginger – 1 inch
Garlic – 5 cloves
Cashew nuts – 10
Oil – 2 tbsp
Butter – 1 tbsp
Cardamom – 2
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Bay leaf – 1
Cloves – 3
Fennel seeds – ½ tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Salt – As required
Sugar – ½ tsp (optional)
Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – For garnish
Water – As needed
Method:
Step 1:
Heat oil in a pan. Add paneer cubes and fry till golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
Step 2:
In the same pan, add sliced onions, green chillies, ginger, and garlic. Sauté well.
Step 3:
Add chopped tomatoes and cashew nuts. Cook till soft.
Step 4:
Turn off stove and let it cool. Transfer to mixer jar and grind into smooth paste.
Step 5:
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala, and little water to the paste. Mix well and keep aside.
Step 6:
Heat butter and oil in another pan. Add cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, fennel seeds, and cloves. Sauté till aromatic.
Step 7:
Add prepared masala paste and cook till oil separates.
Step 8:
Add little water and mix well.
Step 9:
Add fried paneer cubes and green peas. Mix gently.
Step 10:
Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes on low flame.
Step 11:
Add kasuri methi, coriander leaves, and sugar. Mix well.
Step 12:
Turn off stove. Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice.
