One of Iraq's most respected singers, performing again in Baghdad after many years of absence He challenged what is traditional in the field of Arabic music, and came up with a new style of making songs which faced many objections at first but then it found its way to success. Ilham Al-Madfai is an Iraqi guitarist, singer and composer. The first to introduce Arabic music with a mixture of Western and Eastern instruments without changing the origins of the song and it found its way the youth before the adults. Over the past 50 years, Ilham Al-Madfai has moved from his hometown (Baghdad) to become an ambassador of Arabic music in his style to the world's most important stages such as the Royal Albert Hall in England, the Opera House Berlin and today Ilham’s most popular music, which called Alhamiat, attracts a large audience from all around the world. "A legend throughout the Middle East, now posed to become a celebrity in the West".
