مفاتيحُ علّقتها أوسمةً على صدري…
مفاتيحُ بيوتٍ ضاعت، وتهدّمت،
مفاتيحُ حملها السّوريون، وحملتها قلوبُ أهل المخيمات،
على أمل أن يعودوا يومًا، فيجدوها موجودة… كما تركوها. We'am Badrakhan, a Syrian documentary photographer and director. Her lens was instrumental in documenting the siege of ancient Homs during the years of the Syrian revolution, and she contributed to the completion of a number of notable films, including "Silvered Water" It was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2014.

We'am Badrakhan won the "Cigerxwîn" award In recognition of its artistic and humanitarian contributions to telling the stories of the Syrian reality and presenting it to the world in an honest and bold voice.

كانَ لعدستها دورٌ أساسيٌّ في توثيقِ حصارِ حمصَ القديمةِ خلالَ سنواتِ الثّورةِ السّوريّةِ، أسهمت في إنجازِ عددٍ من الأفلامِ البارزةِ، من بينها فيلمُ “ماءُ الفضّةِ” الّذي عُرضَ في مهرجانِ كانَ السينمائيِّ في فرنسا عام 2014.
