Hello My Beautiful People! Welcome back to the garden! I have really been having a lot of fun exploring the Modern Minimal Transparent Base pours, but tonight I wanted to do something different, that I haven't done in a long time.. a beautiful Ring Pour with some Negative Space! I have some gorgeous colors to play with tonight, inspired by all the photos of snow my friends keep sending me.

I am using a basecoat color that is primarily table scrapings, mixed with a lot of black. The result is a deep graphite color that I really like.
Im using a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft.

Sometimes when I finish a painting, I'm not sure that it "worked" or will dry how I want.. I was a little unsure about this one when it was in the Yurt drying, in very low light. When it was dry and I took it outside to look at in the sun it almost blinded me with the bling LOL! Its a moody, stormy painting, but I love the drama and colors and contrast that we got.

The silver was a huge surprise for me, in terms of all the cool things that it did. I think its actually the star of this piece, because it blended subtly with all the other colors and made this one really glow. Im very happy with how this came out, and I hope you enjoyed it too. Contrary to popular belief, Ring Pours are not always very easy to do well, especially with leaving negative space. I am very pleased with this one!
