Hello My Beautiful People! Welcome back to the garden! Last week I did a pour called Mystic, and I used Amsterdam Pearl Blue in it. When it was dry the ghostly wispy bits of electric pearl blue were so intriguing to me, I knew I wanted to play with that feeling some more. Im using a preloved canvas tonight, a 24x30 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft. I have painted it Prussian Blue, because I want the Amsterdam Pearl colors to show up on that dark base.

It was so much fun creating this piece! The Amsterdam Pearls are almost invisible on the transparent base, so the only color I could see was the 24K Gold. I love that element of surprise and controlled chaos in this technique.
When I was done tilting it looked like white marble with gold veins, really beautiful.

And then it dried and oh wow! I love seeing the Transparent Base shift from white to clear as it dries, and to see the colors start to come out. That Pearl Blue is such a neat color when its dry, almost electrical in nature.

I love the flowing, wispy look of the gold and pearl blue .. it looks like electricity or lightning to me.. Pure Energy.
