We've been unemployed and on our own for only one month. In the grand scheme of things that's not very long. But it has been enough time for us to realize we were wrong about a few things regarding the journey of entrepreneurship and building a business on our own.

One of our biggest fears has been losing the stable income of a 9 to 5 job and being all on our own. That's honestly one of the reasons we decided to quit our jobs in the first place. Fear has been holding us back too long. But we've learned it hasn't been nearly as painful as we thought. Having a hefty emergency fund definitely helps with that.

Something else we've been learning is the importance of self improvement. Reading books, learning, etc. Working for yourself and trying to grow a business on your own can become very lonely, especially if friends and family don't really "get it." Having a source of inspiration, encouragement, and motivation is extremely important.

There are many other lessons we've learned so far. We hope they're insightful!
