An understanding of why and how mindful eating can be a useful tool when it comes to managing your diabetes will be explored.
Taking the Stress out of Eating
Maddie Freeman, Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator
We tell ourselves we should be eating a healthy diet, however putting it into practice is often easier said than done. If food shopping or cooking is becoming stressful and leaving you with little inspiration, then this talk might be the one for you.
Yoga
Pamela Kirgianis, Certified Yoga Teacher, Diabetes Educator and Pharmacist
The modern practice of yoga has fast become a popular form of exercise and relaxation for many around the world. With more styles of yoga than choices of coffee it’s easy to get lost. This session will take you back to the grass roots of what yoga really is, the benefits of a regular practice, demonstrate the inclusive nature of yoga and that yoga is a practice for everybody and every body.
