It's PUSH DAY EVERYONE! What is this Push Pull Leg Routine all about?
A push-pull-legs (PPL) workout is a weightlifting routine that splits your body into three parts and trains each part on a separate day:
Push: Trains your upper body pushing muscles, such as your chest, shoulders, and triceps
Pull: Trains your upper body pulling muscles, such as your back and biceps
Legs: Trains your entire lower body, such as your quads, hamstrings, calves, and abdominals
PPL workouts are popular because they:
Train related muscles together
You train muscles that work together in the same workout, which can help you build muscle throughout your body
Minimize overlap
You minimize the overlap of movements between workouts, which can help you recover better
Provide balance
You target all major muscle groups throughout the week
Are suitable for all levels
PPL workouts are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and experienced lifters
We will go through 2 sets of each exercise with 12 reps. Make sure you have proper form before going to heavy with your weights. Make sure to warm up before starting this routine and do a cool down stretch when finished.
If you need to take a break, press pause, shake it out and join me when you're ready!! You will get stronger over time and it will feel GREAT.
