The dry fishes are the saviours of Koli community during monsoon season. Though they are available throughout the year, dried in the pure sun light, rich in protein. These are difficult to digest if you are not a regular meat eater. We recommend to have small serving size for dry fishes, if you are trying for first time.

Today we have bought Suka Vakti Aambat to you ( Dry Ribbon Fish Curry) , Recipe is simple
Ingredients
Onions - 1 Big
Green Chillies - 3
Dry Ribbon Fish - 5 pc
Turmeric - 1 tbs
Koli Masala or Red chilly Powder - 1 tbs
Coriander - 1 cup
Tamarind water - 1 tbs
water - 150 ml
Method
Add 1 tbs oil & add chopped onions to the oil.
Prepare Chilly coriander paste by grinding
Cut 5 pieces dry ribbon fish in to half
Add dry ribbon fish to the vessel once onions turn nice brown, add 150 ml water & cook for 10 mins until ribbon fish becomes soft.
Once ribbon fish gets soft, add turmeric powder and koli masala to it.
Mix the mixture well & add chilly coriander paste & tamarind water
At the final stage add pinch of salt as per taste.
Once ready garnish with chopped coriander and enjoy suka vakti aambat with hot bhakri or rice.
