Our very own Harsha Tapke's mother & her teacher 'Rajni Ajji' is on the roll with her dry jawla recipe. The dry fishes are the saviours of Koli community during monsoon season. Though they are available throughout the year, dried in the pure sun light, rich in protein. These are difficult to digest if you are not a regular meat eater. We recommend to have small serving size for dry fishes, if you are trying for first time.

Today we have bought Suka Kanda Jawla to you ( Dry tiny prawns) , Recipe is simple
Ingredients
Onions - 7 Big
Green Chillies - 3
Dry Jawla - 1 Kg
Garlic Cloves - 3 pc
Turmeric - 2 tbs
Koli Masala or Red chilly Powder - 1 tbs
Coriander - 1 cup
water - 50 ml
Method
Add 2 tbs oil & add chopped onions to the oil.
Add chopped garlic and chillies
Stir well & add salt as per taste (such onions can get cooked fast )
Add dry jawla to the vessel once onions turn nice brown, add 50 ml water & cook for 10 mins by closing the lid.
Add 2 tbs turmeric powder and 1 tbs koli masala to it.
Mix the mixture well & sprinkle pinch of sugar to reduce bitterness.
At the final stage add pinch of salt as per taste, if necessary.
Once ready garnish with chopped coriander and enjoy suka kanda jawla with hot bhakri.
