Identify a topic or issue that connects to Indigenous culture, experiences, or teachings.
Identify a specific child or audience to write the story for.
Clearly state the main message or theme they want the story to convey.
Choose an appropriate tone and justify how it fits their message.
Describe the setting (time and place) in enough detail to support story development.
Create at least two characters, identifying appearance, personality, and relationships.
Identify a problem, goal, or conflict that will drive the story.
