Provide specific examples from the stories to support comparisons and interpretations.
Identify at least two similarities and two differences between the Wagamese story and earlier trickster stories.
Explain Wagamese’s message in his opinion column, including what “horse thieves” symbolize.Clearly explain whether Stolen Words would be more effective as fiction or nonfiction, using at least two features of fiction or two features of news writing in the explanation.
Demonstrate understanding of how genre affects the emotional, cultural, or persuasive impact of a story.
