Want a way to jazz up your tater tots? This is a great and easy way to prepare a fun appetizer or side dish. I love how inexpensive and simple this is to make. The tots from Aldi are just over $2.00 a bag which makes for an economical choice.
I prepared two different sauces and split the episode in two parts. The first one is with the Old Bay Seasoning and the second one is with a steak seasoning (part II). My husband and I took both versions to our supper club and the winner was... (you have to watch the video to find out).
The recipe is from Food Network and I have posted the recipe below. You don't need to be exact with the measurements as I found adding more spice to the sauce was better. You can play with the flavor.
Chive Tots with Creamy Steak Sauce: Bake 1 pound tots, then toss with 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning and 2 tablespoons chopped chives. For the sauce, mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons steak sauce, 2 tablespoons chopped chives and 1 teaspoon honey.
