00:06 First Question
Sharon: I'm 58 y/o with 34 yrs working for the United States Post Office. I've had 3 surgeries under workers compensation, both right and left rotator cuff and bicep, carpal tunnel as secondary from the surgery and I'm about to get a 4th surgery on my bicep. Which would make my second bicep surgery. My question is, should I retire under FERS, try for SSDI then go for my scheduled award to avoid an offset. Thanks

01:27 Second Question
Angela: 1. I am a 65 yr old female Veteran Air Force Nurse. I entered Active Duty ServiceJuly 8, 1987.
2. While on Active Duty Service, I was involved in a 3 car auto accident in 1988 where my vehicle flipped over and landed upside down. Sustain multiple injuries: cervical, thoracolumbar spinal injuries, whiplash, upper back spasms, left elbow open wound, left thumb torn ligament, bilateral knee injuries and pain due to dropping to the floor of the upside down vehicle from a locked seat belt which had me suspended in the air of the upside down vehicle. When I released the seat belt, I dropped to the floor of the vehicle into a pile of multiple broken glass which was on the floor of the upside down vehicle.
3. I was discharged from Active Duty Service October 26, 1989 with a honorable discharged.
4. VA denied 2 disability claims (12/2013 and 11/ 2022) for DJD, severe Arthritic Knee Joint disease with bone spurs in both knees. I had a Total Left Knee Replacement 10/2012 and a Total Right Knee Replacement 8/2018.
5. The Georgia VSO states I need a Nexus Letter to prove Bilateral Knee injuries are Service Connected.
6. All of my injuries were from the same 1988 Auto flip over accident.
7. I am requesting your services to obtain a Nexus Letter showing Bilateral Knee injuries are Service connected.
Would like information on your fee structure.
========================================
05:15 Third Question
Vicki: VSO submitted a migraine secondary to mental health claim for me. VA just notified me claim denied by 2 MDs and one PA, apparently implied that migraines are part of mental health. Can I file the migraines as a supplemental claim secondary to tinnitus or would that have to be a new claim? If so guess I will have to add that to the list for my appointment on the 12th. Sure hope it is cooler in OKC than Central Florida!
========================================
07:14 Fourth Question
Steve: 20 year infantry marine with 15 parachute jumps plus combat. Denied service connection for cervical and lumbar osteoarthritis despite having a rateable C&P exam due to lack of in service complaints. Nexus letter and DBQ from treating VA approved chiropractor was acknowledged but disregarded. Will another nexus letter help? If so can we use telemedicine?
========================================
08:40 Fifth Question
John: I'm service connected for ptsd, tinnitus, gerd. I served at Camp LeJeune and MCAS New River. I'm B-12 deficient and have urinary and bowel incontinance, I blackout if I laugh/cough too hard or get extremely angry. Is it possible that PCE, TCE and Benzene can damage the CNS or Vegus nerve (Dysautonomia of the CNS)?
========================================
09:42 Sixth Question
Steve: Both knees and back accepted claim USPS 25yrs. I needed arthroscopic surgery to both knees, and with first surgery I developed a clot and Pulmonary embolism. I'm trying to get an upgrade to claim. Because of high risk of clotting again I will not have surgery to the other knee.Am I able to get permanent work restrictions because of my condition?
