Ingredients
• 2 cups fresh Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
• 2 big spoon Besan (gram flour)
• 1/2 cup Soaked chana dal(for extra crispiness)
• 5-6 Garlic
• 1 inch Ginger peace
• 2 tsp White sesame seeds
• 3-4 Green chilies (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp Asafoetida
• ½ tsp Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Fennel seeds
• Water (as required)
• Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Method
1. Add chana dal, green chilli, garlic and ginger to a mixer jar and blend it into a paste.
2. Wash and finely chop fresh coriander leaves.
3. In a mixing bowl, add coriander, besan, chana dal paste , asafoetida ,fennel seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, 2 tsp oil and sesame seeds .
4. Mix well and make a thick batter.
5. Grease a steaming plate, pour the kothimber vadi batter evenly, and steam for 15–20 minutes on medium heat. Allow it to cool, then cut into pieces.
6. Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.
7. Take a peace of steam vadi and gently drop into hot oil.
8. Fry until golden brown and crispy from all sides.
9. Remove and drain excess oil.
10. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
