In this video, you'll decode the final sentence:
"It feels strange but he knows he's gonna be OK."
🔊 WHAT DISAPPEARS:
• "he" → drops the H twice ("ee knows ee's")
• "he's" → drops the H, becomes "ee's"
• "going to" → becomes "gonna" — a word that doesn't exist in any dictionary
Knowing "gonna" exists and hearing it fly past at full speed are two different skills.
🥁 THE RHYTHM:
3 strong beats: STRANGE, KNOWS, BE. Here's the surprise — the sentence doesn't punch OK. OK floats there, unstressed. The certainty lands on BE. "He's gonna BE okay." The story resolves gently, not with a bang.
🔄 BACKWARDS BUILD:
OK → be OK → gonna be OK → he's gonna be OK → knows he's gonna be OK.
Six words, one flowing phrase. Two reduced H's and a "gonna" all in one stream. This is real English.
🎭 THE STORY:
12 sentences. 12 weeks. David left his phone at her place. He went back to get it. And now he's walking away, phone in hand, knowing he'll be OK. The whole story told at native speed — every reduction, every vanishing H, every "and" that became a hum.
🗣️ SHADOWING PRACTICE:
