"He turns and walks away, holding his phone tightly."

🔊 WHAT DISAPPEARS:
• "and" → just "n" or "um" — a nasal buzz connecting two actions
• "he" → drops the H, just "ee"
• "his" → drops the H, becomes "is"
Three reductions. The big one today: AND. You hear it hundreds of times a day, and almost every time it sounds like "um" — not "and."

🥁 THE RHYTHM:
4 strong beats carry the meaning: TURNS, AWAY, HOLDING, TIGHTLY. All action, all physical. 4 beats like 4 footsteps — the rhythm matches what he's doing: walking away. Everything unstressed rushes between the beats like it's trying to keep up.

🔄 BACKWARDS BUILD:
