Описание: Puerto de la Cruz is one of the most authentic destinations in northern Tenerife, especially when you move away from the busiest streets and explore its quieter corners.
In this walking tour, filmed on 28 December, the city still carries a warm Christmas atmosphere, even during the high season.

The walk begins in a surprising spot: an Anglican church hidden inside a park, a place many visitors don’t even realise exists. From there, I move through Parque de la Sortija, one of my favourite green spaces in the city — calm, colourful and perfect for slowing down.

One of the highlights of this video is the Gran Hotel Taoro, now finally open again after years. I walk across its perfectly kept gardens, explore the elegant exterior, step inside the grand hall and discover the brand-new pools and terrace areas where anyone can stop for a coffee and enjoy the view.

From the mirador, the panorama opens over all of Puerto de la Cruz and the Atlantic Ocean — a moment that really shows how different the north of Tenerife feels compared to the south. The descent back into the city takes place along decorated stairways, fountains and viewpoints, an area loved by locals and visitors alike.

As I reach the city centre, the post-Christmas festive spirit is still alive: music, people celebrating, warm evenings and that relaxed Canarian lifestyle that makes this city special.
The walk ends by the ocean, with the sound of the waves closing the experience.
