This video was filmed on Christmas Day, 25 December, at Playa del Duque, one of the most elegant beaches in Tenerife. Instead of winter coats and cold temperatures, Christmas here means sunshine, short sleeves and people relaxing by the ocean.
I start from Plaza del Duque and walk down to the beach to capture the clear water and the light-coloured sand that make this area so popular. The beach is full of people sunbathing and swimming, some even wearing Santa hats on the sand, creating a surreal and joyful Christmas atmosphere.
I walk the full length of Playa del Duque, enjoying the calm sea and the slow rhythm of a Christmas day spent outdoors. As I reach Playa del Duque Norte, the sand becomes slightly darker and the scenery feels more natural and less polished.
Leaving the beach, I follow the small coastal path above the shore, passing luxury hotels like Riu Tenerife with beautiful ocean views. I stop by a charming beach kiosk serving cocktails, coffee and the traditional Canarian barraquito.
Behind the kiosk, a pebble beach reveals dozens of carefully stacked stones, small handmade sculptures created by visitors. This spot is especially popular at sunset, when people stop to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere.
The walk ends near Seen Beach Club, a stylish and luxurious place known for its excellent cuisine and unique seaside setting.
