In this video, I take you to La Laguna during Noche Blanca, one of the most authentic and local celebrations in Tenerife, filmed just before Christmas.
The historic streets of La Laguna are completely full of people mostly locals — enjoying a night dedicated to music, culture and tradition. This is not a tourist event: it’s a true Canarian celebration, where the city opens up and people take over the streets.
In the main square, local singer-songwriters perform live, creating a warm and folkloric atmosphere. Music fills the air, conversations flow easily and the energy feels natural and relaxed. One detail says it all: beer costs just €1.80, a clear sign that this night is made for locals, not for tourists.
Walking through La Laguna during Noche Blanca means seeing the city at its most genuine. Friends, families and neighbours gather together, enjoying simple pleasures music, company and tradition in one of Tenerife’s most culturally important towns.
