Описание: Lesson on Thrombocytopenia: Approach to Causes. Thrombocytopenia is defined as a low platelet count of less than 150x10^9/L. Signs and symptoms of thrombocytopenia include mucocutaneous bleeding, epistaxis, heavy menstrual bleeding and bruising. There are 4 main categories of causes of thrombocytopenia including decreased production, sequestration, increased destruction and hemodilution.
