As part of my build toward the UTMB Canyons 100, I traveled to Puerto Rico for an intense heat-training block designed to push my body — and my mindset — to the edge.
This wasn’t a vacation.
This was preparation.
Across six days, I ran in brutal humidity, managed hydration and fueling under heat stress, and documented the realities of endurance training when conditions are far from comfortable.
Every mile had a purpose — building resilience for race day in April.
