In todays Bible Study we:
Genesis 32 is the night Jacob stops running and meets God face to face.
Alone and afraid as he prepares to face Esau, Jacob wrestles with God until daybreak. He refuses to let go without a blessing, and God answers him. But the blessing comes with a wound. Jacob walks away changed, renamed Israel, and marked forever by the encounter.
This chapter reveals that spiritual transformation does not come through comfort or strength. It comes through surrender. Jacob sees God face to face and survives, but he never walks the same again. His limp becomes evidence that his life has been changed.
In this video, we walk through Genesis chapters 32 through 35 and explore why God wounds Jacob after blessing him, what it truly means to wrestle with God, and why desire for God matters more than outward obedience. Jacob wanted the blessing. Esau despised it. That difference shaped their futures.
If you have ever wrestled with God, questioned Scripture, or struggled in your faith, Genesis 32 shows that God is not threatened by the struggle. Often, the wrestling itself is where transformation begins.
