Описание: Today we continue our journey through the Bible chronologically in Genesis chapters 28–30, where God’s promises collide with deception, disappointment, and unexpected grace.

Jacob receives a covenant promise from both his father and from God Himself. He sees a ladder reaching into heaven, angels ascending and descending, and God confirms the future spoken over his life. Everything looks like it’s finally going right.

Then life gets harder.

Jacob meets Rachel, the woman he loves, and agrees to work seven years to marry her. But on his wedding night, he is deceived. Leah stands in Rachel’s place. What should have been a fulfillment becomes a setback, and Jacob is forced to work fourteen years instead of seven.

In this passage, we see two powerful truths unfold.

First, Leah’s story.
She is overlooked, unwanted, and unloved. Yet God sees her. When others reject her, God opens her womb. Through Leah, God advances His redemptive plan, reminding us that He often works through those the world ignores. Leah’s journey moves from striving for approval to choosing praise, no matter the circumstances.

Second, Jacob’s refining.
Jacob was once a deceiver. Now he is deceived. God uses Laban to expose what still lives in Jacob’s heart, not to destroy him, but to transform him. Some experiences are not meant to harm us, but to make us holy.
