This chapter reveals that the plan for our redemption was never a "Plan B." From the vine that is crushed for the cup to the bread that is judged in three days, we see the shadows of Jesus everywhere. Joseph acts as a type of Christ—the innocent one who was "numbered with the transgressors" so that he could offer life to those under judgment.
