In this video I restore a NES Top Loader (NES-101) by replacing the aging capacitors and performing a PPU shielding modification to help reduce the well-known jailbar interference in the video output.
Over time the capacitors in these systems degrade, which can affect power stability and video quality. After installing a full capacitor replacement kit, I also add grounded copper shielding around the PPU to help minimize interference that causes faint vertical jailbars on screen.
This is a great upgrade for anyone trying to get the cleanest possible video output from their NES Top Loader, especially when paired with RGB mods or modern displays.
