Feeling neck stiffness by the end of the day? I got you!
Let’s check your breathing and see if your rib cage is moving in a way that will help provide relief to your neck, instead of stress.
As your diaphragm contracts down, your ribs should move out to the sides in a bucket handle fashion. There are joints in the front and back that help facilitate that movement. Likewise, your sternum is very mobile and should move up in a pump handle fashion when you breathe.
Ahhhh, great breathing feels amazing and leaves you with a loose-feeling neck and shoulders.
