The Output Sports team are developing technology to make athlete performance tracking and testing smarter, easier and better.
Their research involves combining rich data sets, signal processing and machine learning to assess all components of athletic performance using a single wearable sensor to create systems, built on a foundation of scientific validity, which enhance the workflows and output of exercise professionals and elite athletes.
This technology has been developed by Darragh Whelan and Martin O’Reilly, UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science and the Insight Centre for Data Analytics at University College Dublin (UCD).
The commercialisation of this technology is being supported by NovaUCD.
