What started at Grand Canyon Village with a 19,800 lb Bobcat D30 chained down has officially wrapped in Fort Collins, Colorado.
This run had everything:
• Red rock desert highways
• Wide-open US-191 north of Kayenta
• Multiple “unscheduled supervisory stops” by Denver the Jack Russell 🐾
• 168 miles-to-go tension
• And finally… a smooth delivery
From canyon cliffs to rising elevation, the landscape transformed mile by mile. Desert wind gave way to Colorado air, and the Bobcat rode steady the entire way.
The trilogy:
Part 1 – Grand Canyon to US-191 pit stop
Part 2 – Climbing north
Part 3 – 168 miles out and another 10-100
Finale – Freight delivered, engine cooling, job done
There’s something satisfying about rolling into the yard after a scenic haul like this. Engine ticking as it cools. Straps loosened. Load off. Silence replacing road noise.
Mission complete.
