This might be the most beautiful section of the Queen Charlotte Track — crystal-clear coves, cheeky wekas, and a well-earned beer at Furneaux Lodge.
We took a boat out to Ship Cove and walked one of the most scenic sections of the Queen Charlotte Track, finishing at Furneaux Lodge in the Marlborough Sounds.
With calm seas, blue skies and those unreal views across the coves, this walk felt almost too perfect to be real — but it absolutely is. Along the way we spotted cheeky Weka, soaked up the changing coastal views, and wrapped it all up the best way possible: a cold drink and fries at Furneaux before hopping back on the boat.
