It's that time of year again: International Wolf Day! So here is about 9 minutes of the @MemphisZoo's Teton Trek Pack being the amazing and beautiful animals they were born to be. Atlas, Blaze, Cash, and Dottie all came from an accredited facility in Montana in spring 2023. Fun fact: when we saw them earlier this April, they had all just celebrated their 2nd birthday!
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Yellowstone Wolf Reintroduction Project. Gray wolves are a vital keystone of the world's first National Park, keeping both other predators and prey in check. The trophic cascade started by bringing back wolves has transformed Yellowstone's ecosystem and geography for the better.
