Marble Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
All-purpose flour – 220 g
Baking powder – 2 tsp
Salt – ¼ tsp
Granulated sugar – 160 g
Large eggs (room temperature) – 3
Plain yogurt (room temperature) – 140 g
Milk (room temperature) – 120 ml
Vegetable oil – 100 ml
Vanilla powder – 1 tsp
Chocolate Marble Batter:
Unsweetened cocoa powder – 2 tbsp
Milk – 2 tbsp
Granulated sugar – 1 tbsp
Marble Cake – Recipe Instructions
1️⃣ In a large bowl, add the eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until the mixture becomes light in color, fluffy, and airy.
2️⃣ Add the yogurt, milk, and oil. Mix gently until well combined.
3️⃣ Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the batter. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.
4️⃣ Pour one-third of the batter into a separate bowl. Sift cocoa powder into this portion, then add a little sugar and milk. Mix until smooth and evenly combined.
5️⃣ Grease the cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
6️⃣ Pour the batter into the pan alternately: start with one ladle of plain batter, then one ladle of cocoa batter. Continue layering in this pattern until all the batter is used.
7️⃣ For best results, keep the ratio of plain batter to cocoa batter approximately 3:1, and maintain this proportion while layering in the pan.
8️⃣ Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) for 55 minutes.
