Our first step in upgrading our Jeep Wrangler for more off-road capability is with a suspension lift, wheels, and tires. But remember, we’re want to improve this Jeep’s off-road performance without sacrificing its daily-driver comfort. That means no sky-high lift and massive tire combo here—instead we’re going with a far more practical 3.5 inch lift from Rock Krawler, along with 17 inch KMC Mesa wheels wrapped in 35 inch Maxxis Razr MT tires. Watch the install in this video and you’ll learn why we went with this particular setup. (You’ll also see how we adjusted the speedometer to ensure it remains accurate despite the larger diameter tires.)
