Over the past few episodes, we’ve addressed our Project Jeep Wrangler’s engine, wheels, tires, and suspension to get it ready for the trail. Now we’re going a step further, by outfitting the Wrangler with some critical protection from trail obstacles. After all, we need this Jeep to pull double duty as an off-road rig and a daily-driven commuter—and we can’t do that with a bent driveshaft or a hole in our transfer case.
More importantly, we want to put an on-board compressed air system on this Jeep Wrangler, so we need to make room inside its fenders. The good news is, there are plenty of aftermarket Jeep Wrangler upgrades like skid plates, fender liners, and belly pans to help us do it.
