Today we're going to review part number C56029. This is the CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-way Flat Trailer Connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007-2011 Honda Element Vehicles. Now on any custom fit part, I always recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this harness provides this 4-way Flat Trailer Connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.

Now one note on this, this kit does fill in the missing parts of a complete factory tow package. On the Honda Elements, they put a factory tow package on, but they'll lots of times leave out some of the missing parts that are needed, and this is what this part number would include. It includes this taillight converter, and this is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. This converter itself is constructed using SMT technology, which is surface-mount technology. Gives you a consistent, reliable performance.

It'll maximize your trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat. It'll also give you superior operation on any rough road conditions. This whole assembly does connect very quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing of wires. Comes with everything shown here on the table. Few specs on this, on the converter, the maximum amperage for this on the stop and turn light circuits is 3 amps per circuit.

On the taillight circuit, it's 6 amps, and again, everything shown here is included. Comes with a nice set of detailed instructions that will instruct how to install it, and it even gives you pictures of where your installation points are, but basically what you do to install this is first thing that you want to do is go to one of the connection points for this tow harness point right here. There's two separate tow harnesses. This one here, you'll go behind the access panel, which is under your steering wheel, and attach this connector. It'll match up to a connector there, and then what you'll do is plug that in so it's connected there, and then you'll want to attach this converter to a flat surface or somewhere so it doesn't bounce around. They do give you a piece of double-sided tape that you can put on here to attach it to a nice flat surface, and then what you'll want to do is this white wire that's coming off the body connector here, this needs to be connected to a good, clean ground.

If there's one nearby, you could use it. If not, they give you a grounding screw that you could drill a hole and make your own ground, and then another thing you want to do is check your fuse holder, and that's where you'll put the-, they give you an included 10 amp fuse. You want to make sure that fuse is put in the fuse holder and the cap put on, so that'll protect everything, and then what you'll want to do is you'll go to the next connection point for this part of the tow harness, and this will be beneath the floor panel in your rear cargo area, and again, you'll remove everything and gain access to a connector that will match this connector. You'll go ahead and plug that in, and then you'll have a length of bonded wire here that you can run the full way out the back. The other nice thing is they give you this nice dust cover that you can slip onto your 4-way, and you can leave it on there if you'd like, but what happens is when you're not plugged into the trailer, when you're storing it, just put that dust cap over those terminals, and it protects those terminals from any damage or from the elements getting to it, and then with those all plugged in, if you have any wire you need to stow or pull up out of the way, they do include some cable ties to use on that, but that should do it for the review on part number C56029.
