2011 - 2020 GM Ecotec 1.4L Oil Leak ~ Oil Pan Gasket Leak Repair (Chevy Cruze Sonic Trax Encore)

Описание: This video is about the GM factory service manual procedure for how to go about addressing an engine oil leak due to a failed engine oil pan gasket. This video is applicable to GM vehicles using the Ecotec 1.4L turbocharged engine, such as the Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Sonic. Also this same engine was used in the Chevrolet Trax, and the Buick Encore (though note AWD (all wheel drive) models of these two vehicles will need the transfer case removed to access the oil pan). The 1.4L oil pan gasket is prone to failure after sufficient mileage and age have accumulated. The specific vehicle illustrated in this video is a 2012 Chevy Cruze Eco, but the oil pan gasket replacement procedure is the same (except for some minor rear exhaust pipe mounting differences) across all the vehicles with the GM Ecotec 1.4L engine option (again, except for the Trax and Encore SUVs with the AWD option).
