Описание: This is a 2012 Chevy sonic LE 1.8 L oil pan was found to have been leaking. Customer requests a removal and reseal. You don’t need much for this process you are going to need an oil filter which is a canister style so you will need an oil filter canister socket set. You can pick this up at Harbor freight for fairly cheap. 4.8 quarts of 5W-30. You will need a quarter inch inverted torques known as E torx E 10 in order to remove the fasteners that secure the oil pan to the lower engine block, you’ll also need a 17 mm for one of the bell housing bolts and a 15 mm for three other low housing bolts to secure the oil pan to the transmission. You’ll need a 13 mm to remove the three nuts that secure the front downpipe of the exhaust and the two 13 mm knots to secure the other end to the extended pipe going towards the rear of the car. These fasteners are often rusted so you will need some kind of rust penetrant, as well as Map gas. so you can heat them up you’re not gonna always be able to break them loose with a cordless. In fact, I recommend breaking them loose by hand with a long 3/8 Dr. ratchet first then you can run them out with the gun. The torque process is Cris cross and 89 inch pounds is your torque spec for the E Torx the secure the oil pan to the lower engine. I hope you found this video to be helpful.
