This time, we will introduce Kiyoshikojin,
one of the attractive walking courses.
(Kiyoshikojin is located in Hyogo Prefecture,
but it is easily accessible from Osaka,
so we will introduce it on this channel.)
Restaurants and souvenir shops line both sides of
the approach to the temple.
Kiyoshikojin (Seichoji Temple) was founded in 896.
It enshrines the god of fire and kitchen (Sambo-kojin).
It has been believed to bring benefits such as safety for the home,
prosperity in business, protection from evil and good fortune.
This temple remains a form of Shinto-Buddhist syncretism.
It is a religious phenomenon that combines Shinto and Buddhism,
and has developed into a form in which
gods and Buddhas are enshrined in the same place.
