We started our journey from Tabo To Dhankar which is about 30 Kms. We visited the Tabo Caves which a short trek from the main highway. There are many caves in Tabo where monks used to meditate, These caves are more than 1000 years old. After visiting the caves we reached Dhankar Monastery.
Dhankar Monastery located at a top of a cliff is in the Dhankar village at an elevation of over 3,850 meters in the Spiti valley. It is a 16th century old fort monastery. Dhankar Monastery is 1000 years old.
