The 5K PB attempt at Battersea Parkrun could not have gone better.
The day before the run, while shopping in London, we stumbled across the newly opened PUMA flagship store on Oxford Street — and to my surprise they had the PUMA Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 in my size. As a shoe that’s almost always sold out, I took the risk and bought a pair… joking that Battersea Parkrun isn’t really a race.
Race morning started early with a full pre-race routine, carefully timed nutrition, and a controlled warm-up before lining up in one of the most competitive parkrun fields in the UK.

KM 3: 3:46
KM 4: 3:41
KM 5: 3:34
I crossed the line in 18:37, finishing:
3rd in my age category
97th overall
31st by age grade
At an event as stacked as Battersea, this was an incredible result and the perfect way to close out the training block.
