In an attempt to boost the tourism sector in Uganda, the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities, has commissioned the Nyero Rock Art Cultural Site Translation Centre aimed at attracting more tourists and also act as an information centre for tourists who cannot climb up to the rocks or may be in a hurry.
Established in 1973, the Nyero Rock Art Cultural Site Translation Centre popularly known as Nyero Rock Paintings in Kumi District, is believed to have been home to some of the first men, dating back thousands of years.
