The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has issued a ban on street vending, illegal boda boda operations, and unauthorized taxi stages within the Kampala Metropolitan Area. A two-week grace period for enforcement starts today. According to the Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Minsa Kabanda, the city has become increasingly congested, with hawkers and street vendors encroaching on pavements, drainage channels, and other public spaces activities that violate city regulations.This enforcement comes as the election cycle concludes, with city management aiming to restore order and functionality to the capital.
