The day started with a really short simple tow to 10th st boat ramp, and right as I was finishing that job up, I got a dispatch for a boat that had run aground on the SE side of Sister Keys. Well, this was my first time being back there, and I have to say, it’s definitely an area for flats boats because it is super shallow in many places. There is a channel that runs behind Sister Keys, but it’s unmarked and the chartplotter on the boat doesn’t show it either. Needless to say, this guy found out the hard way where not to go and made the walk of shame out to my boat to retrieve the towline. To the guy’s credit, they didn’t complain about having to walk out to me and they were able to tie a bowline properly after a quick demonstration to top it off!
