Vlog 214: Decorating; Poultry Sitting and Heat Mitigation.

Описание: This is what I got up to this week on my property in rural Victoria, Australia.

I finish painting as much of the guest bedroom as I can before feeling the need to consult Will on the final touches. With help, the electrical problem in the outside buildings was fixed - frayed wiring - and I plug up the hole in the wall which likely caused the problem one way or another. I am pleased with the job the new angle grinder made on the old clothes line pole and very pleased to see the Brumby canopy actually on the Brumby. Lastly, the water pipe is now under the library verandah bringing us one step closer to being able to bury it for the first time. Will and I choose not to keep animals on the property in order to make evacuating easier but I was able to enjoy looking after some chickens and a duck this week as a favour to a holidaying friend. Summer maintenance tasks keep coming and this week I strim back some regrowth tea tree in order to keep the garden ship shape in advance of more hot weather. When the heat does arrive I have a good system in place for keeping the house relatively cool - without air conditioning - which I share in case it is helpful, most especially for my UK peeps.
