This is what I got up to this week on my property in rural Victoria, Australia.
This is the week of the final bonfire push. With limited time before the start of the Fire Danger Period, the rush is on to get as much of the garden debris cleared as possible whilst it can still be dealt with via bonfire. The final tasks include the bay topiary, the gutters and the area directly around the house. With that done, I turn my attention towards getting our evacuation packs ready. We need to be able to leave the house at short notice, in case of a bushfire emergency, and these provide very basic comforts in case we cannot return home for a time. Finally, I strike out further from home than normal and end up in a gallery I don't often get to visit so it was a good opportunity to see what was on display at the moment. And, of course, along the way we had some lovely wildlife encounters with deer and possums this week.

All commercial products mentioned in this video were bought using my own money. My opinions of them are entirely my own and based on my experiences of using them. Unless you're Husqvarna offering me a free electric ride-on lawnmower, I'm not interested in sponsorships, collaborations or gifts.
I also posted photographs to: / having.a.small.time but I currently don't because I found it silly.

The Small Time acknowledges and pays respect to the Gunaikurnai Nation's people on whose Land I live and work. I recognise the significant role the past and future Elders play in the existence of The Small Time and the region. I am mindful that, since sovereignty was never ceded, the Land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
