I chose to park at the St Pirans Cafe on this amazing trail and head towards Devoran. The car park was larger and I felt more comfortable here.
There is a lovely cafe with an access ramp up to the decking. There are toilets and the last ones before you head to Devoran. The food was amazing outside and inside seating and you can hire a bike from here.
There is a very gravelly bit to negotiate in front of the cafe (which I hope they will change) and then a road but after that its off road.
Please be mindful that there are at least 5 gates to negotiate and these open forward and backwards. Often followed by another road so please be careful.
So if someone suggests to you if your in a wheelchair to do the Bissoe, this part does have gates and 2 footbridges.
Slightly gravelly surface and it is advised not to let your dogs in the streams ect as there are hazard warning signs. Please be careful.
Wanted to add this as a choice and I will try and do it the other way too. I do know that just after the cafe on the other part it goes up a hill which my buggy would never manage.
This could all change as the Bissoe is evolving and new ideas are taking place. Hopefully accessibility will be top of the list.
The Devoran car park is hidden away, please refer to the video and only one of the gates is open which is quiet tight. The car park is hidden away and some people do park on the roadside.
If you have a wheelchair accessible vehicle please be mindful that it will be highly likely on the roadside that someone will park directly behind you.
This may be one of your choices.... but please note the gates and road crossings.
