This scenic drive begins in Poggiridenti, a quiet village in Valtellina, northern Italy, surrounded by terraced vineyards and gentle Alpine foothills. The route follows the valley floor along the Adda River, with dramatic mountain slopes rising on both sides, part of the Lepontine Alps and the western edge of the Bernina Range.

At 04:00 – Piateda, the road passes through fertile farmland and traditional stone houses, reflecting the agricultural heart of the valley. Shortly after, Ponte In Valtellina (06:00) appears, one of the most historic towns in the area, known for its Renaissance palaces, narrow streets, and long-standing wine culture.

Continuing through Chiuro (06:45), vineyards dominate the hillsides, producing the famous Valtellina Nebbiolo wines. The valley slowly narrows as the drive reaches Tresenda (15:00) and Bianzone (18:34), where Alpine terrain becomes more pronounced and the mountains feel closer and steeper.
