Here's a second lesson on "creative repetition". Focusing on various ways of repeating notes in a lick can be a great way to discover new variations that work great following the first lick.
This lesson is based on a chapter from my book "Improvising with motives".
The book has a whole chapter on using repetition as a motivic development technique, using various motives in blues, pop, rock, funk, and jazz styles.
