GW2: Arah p2 Thief solo

Описание: Whew, it took quite a bit longer for me to get around to doing this solo this time. I can't say I'm quite as passionate about the game as I used to be, and as the skill ceiling for dungeon solos continues to rise over time so does the mental barrier for me to start one. With that said, it felt like unfinished business to leave this on the table for so long so I decided to lock myself in the cave one more time.

A lot has changed since my last solo on this path over three years ago. Aside from general DPS powercreep, the Shadow Arts rework traded some stealth access for initiative and superspeed and the introduction of relics opened up a lot of precasting options. Furthermore, the newly legal Chest Tonic replaces the old Snow Diamond Tonic for Celerity precasting, and also lets me enter combat at will during the skips which I use to proc Quick Pockets for initiative, Rivers Relic for Alacrity access, and Energy Sigil for extra Dashes.

Staff auto attacks no longer reflect projectiles so I needed to explore new options for Brie. I quickly settled on D/D Daredevil, which gets to benefit from the recently buffed Sundering Shade and Even the Odds traits for Might/Vuln uptime. To squeeze out every last bit of DPS possible to kill Brie before she teleports, I precasted on heal food, Relic of Altruism, Relic of Mount Balrior, and finally swapped to Relic of Isgarren for the fight. In addition to a bit of extra damage, the summons from Thieves Guild also took aggro from the boss which let me continue my rotation unimpeded.

Nothing too fancy going on at Abom. Relic of the Sorcerer synergizes well with Caltrops/Uncatchable for easy Vuln uptime, which opened up my sigils/utilites for more direct damage options. Condi Daredevil still struggles with efficient Might access aside from Sigil of Strength, so I went for a triple on-kill food swap to get 500 extra condi damage for the rest of the fight.

On the skip to Lupicus, rather than wasting time/initiative hitting the pathing mob pack I took a page out of Fennec's book and left behind a Thumper Turret to deal with them instead. As for the elite Aboms, the pull from the Relic of the Wizards tower opened up an aggressive strat where I fight them on the spot instead of pulling them to the side. I used the aforementioned double heal precast again here to ensure that I killed them before my Smoke Screen wore off. It might look risky as hell, but it somehow ended up being even more consistent than the old corner strat and is the highlight of the run in my opinion.

Death Blossom recently had its Bleed duration halved while the stacks were doubled, and Lupicus's short phases are the perfect example of where this helps. Furthermore, despite being immune to Cripple, Relic of the Sorcerer still procs on him for some reason which let me play the exact same setup that I used for Abom. Phase 3, as always, is the brick wall of RNG in the run. No matter how well I play, it can drag on if he decided to keep cleansing my bleeds by hitting Yissa with his lifesteal attacks. I got extremely fortunate here with him only getting one Life Drink off at the beginning of the phase and the result was the second fastest kill of the 141 times I made it to Lupicus during this grind.

For Alphard, I went with a more aggressive strategy by opting to drop Seal Area for Assassin's Signet for the raw DPS. In order to make the quickness last to the end of the fight, I temporarily swapped to staff which has self quickness on the stealth attack while still boasting solid DPS. Since I had to go in melee range, I also took the opportunity to transition over towards the north barrels during the fight in order to shave a few seconds off the transition to the last boss. Unfortunately, my gameplay on Alphard was the one sour note in this run. There was a bit of hesitation on the quickness precast going in, and my brain lagged a bit when I got dodge bugged during the fight which caused my rotation to fall apart for a few seconds.

You've seen it before, so there's not too much new to say about Brie. Relic of Mount Balrior is a nice 15% modifier for the Death's Judgement which let me use a very conservative setup for the oneshot without risking going past 50% hp. Rifle's big weapon strength variance memed me as usual which caused me to miss the oneshot, but fortunately I was able to finish her off without losing too much more time.
